Escondida surpassed our expectations in nearly every way. Their website does not do the resort justice. Scratch-made breakfast on the terrace under the big trees with the creek trickling by every morning is beyond relaxing and fabulous. The staff is extremely friendly, the Spanish-tiled room was beautiful and incredibly spacious and the pool is so wonderfully tranquil (unless guests play their own annoying country music, lol). Our couple's massage was the best we've had... and we've had quite a few! I'd only recommend recycling bins on site and maybe a more seamless booking process, but of course it was overall just a magical hill country getaway! (Bring your own drinks to truly make it complete.)

What I can said about this place but that is magical the people who work there become like family lovely ladies the environment is full of happiness the guests the employees the owners everyone so wonderful and the best the food omg the food one of my favorite so delicious all home made the bread the cookies everything is wonderfully I'm so please with every single area of this place and the people a experience you MUST experiment on your own and you will see what I'm talking about ;) 5 is nothing from what you would get in this place.
My wife and I have been to Escondida twice now and love it! The rooms are very large and cozy and the shower is extremely big so you can relax in there. The food they serve at breakfast and dinner is amazing plus there's complimentary drinks and appetizers. While we haven't used it yet there is a very nice pool and fire pit area too. If you have to have internet and cellphone signal to survive then this place will be a turn off for you, there is none! But for my wife and I we love it because we can unplug and just chill.
Had a wonderful time! The rooms were very nice and we had a great view. The staff were amazing. The food was great! Enjoyed our time at the Spa. Bob and Kelli Phillips are genuine people that waited on the guests and shared great stories throughout the weekend. Truly enjoyed the weekend and can't wait to return!
